Main Work Areas Being In The Production Of Design , Detail Design And Tender Drawings For Offshore / Subsea Installations Including Sub - Sea Templates & Umbilical / Riser Bases , Integrated Decks , Production ,Compression & Process Utility Modules For Major Oil Companies , At Fabrication Yards , Design Consultants And Client Shore Based Engineering Support Offices. Work Carried Out Ranging From Being Part Of A Conceptual Engineering Team To The Detailing of Primary & Secondary Framing, Truss Fabrication & Geometry Drawings Also Secondary Structures And Architectural Detailing Through To Pipe Supports & Riser / Umbilical Clamp Drawings. Using Both Cad And Manual Hand Draughting. With Draughting, Checking And Supervisory Experience. Together With A Period Working On The Detail Design For An Equipment Carrier For The U.S. Navy And A Polar Ice Breaker For The U.S. Coast Guard Also With Experience In The Petrochemical / Nuclear Power-Station Field.

I have extensive experience as a Structural Design & Detail Draughtsman in the Building/Construction, Offshore Oil & Gas & Shipbuilding Industries.  Working from architects, and engineers drawings and sketches to produce G.A. & detail design & classification drawings, shop fabrication & assembly drawings, marking plans, installation, sitework, N.D.T. certification and as built drawings, cutting sketches, N.T.O. lists, shop & site bolt lists, weld lists and delivery schedules. Using manual, AutoCAD & Intergraph Microstation, 2D draughting systems, & P.D.M.S. 3D Design solid modelling & 2D Draft draughting system.  Duties include draughting, checking, site surveying & section leading, supervising up to 10 draughtsmen, interfacing with other disciplines to resolve clashes and other design problems, liaison with clients & fab. shops also experience with estimates, tenders & V.O. evaluation.

I have spent 35 years in enginering - piping design, checking, draughting and construction, including 24 years in the Oil & Gas industry, both onshore and offshore. As well as extensive experience manually preparing piping designs and layouts, I have also used Autocad 2D for piping studies, and have used Tribon 2.1 3D for pipework modelling. My experience includes design/layout at all levels (offshore, petrochem and machinery spaces) design checking, squad supervision and construction.
